Mission and Goals

Mission Statement
The Woodinville Junior Football and Cheer Association is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that is dedicated to promoting junior football and cheer.  Our focus is to provide the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and techniques while fielding competitive teams, participating in a safe environment and honoring the sport which they are participating. 

We strongly believe in developing life skills that will serve on and off the field for years to come. Cheer & Football emphasize self-confidence, setting and achieving goals, and commitment to the team and community.

We serve athletes from Rookies through Varsity levels, who reside in the area served by Woodinville High School.

Cheer is levels (1st - 8th grade)
Flag football is levels (1st & 2nd Grade)
Rookies through Varsity tackle is levels (3rd - 8th grade) that feed into Woodinville High School.

Association Goals
We want to establish a culture of Junior Football and Cheer in the community and have our Association represent our community with pride and respect. Establishing relationships with the school district and the city will make our Association a strong permanent fixture in the youth sports landscape. We want to educate people about these sports to inspire parents to promote and to participate in the growth of our Association. We want to provide a positive environment to enable kids to learn and excel in Junior Football and Cheer while instilling values of integrity, pride and respect for others.

WJFA is a place where safety and respect are paramount.

Greater Eastside Junior Football Association

Woodinville Junior Football & Cheer is a member of the Greater Eastside Junior Football Association (GEJFA), which was formed by the Bellevue Boys & Girls Club in 1963 to provide contact football in a program that respects the Boys &Girls Club philosophy.

GEJFA serves all youth between the ages of 8 and 14.

There are five levels of play based on an age/weight formula to ensure that players compete against players of like size and age. The levels are Rookie, Cub, Sophomore, Junior Varsity and, Varsity.

There are seventeen independent franchised Clubs that comprise the GEJFA, representing the youth of the Woodinville.  WJFA (as well as all clubs) have geographical boundaries that are the same to the local high school.
